He was born in 1981 in Ordu. He completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Ordu. He completed his medical education in Ege University Faculty of Medicine between 1999-2006. He completed his residency in General Surgery in Izmir Tepecik Training and Research Hospital in 2006-2011 and became General Surgery Specialist. Between February 2012 and June 2014, he worked in İzmir Karşıyaka State Hospital. Between June 2014 and June 2018, he worked in Izmir Private Medifema Hospital. He specialized in general surgery and during the his education, he worked with Mehmet Görgün who performs the first laparoscopic Roux-en-y gastric bypass operation in Turkey.
His experiences in obesity surgery had started in these years. As a General Surgery Specialist, he started to work at İzmir Karşıyaka State Hospital and after establishing the necessary infrastructure, he performed his first obesity surgery operation in May 2012. He performed more than 5000 successful operations (Gastric Sleeve, Gastric Bypass, SADI-S and Transit Bipartition). He brought his professional development to the highest level with the courses and congresses he attended. In May 2013, he worked with Bruno Dillemans who is very important name in Europe for obesity surgery in Brugge. and in October 2014, he had the opportunity to work with Catalin Copaescu in Bucharest.
